PST Small Engine Repair opened their doors in June of 2008 with the hunger to be one of the best if the best Small Engine Repair company in Western Michigan. It didn't take much time to see that they saw a need for a different type of company that could cater to the Green Industry, and with that in mind Roger Brondyke & Robert Woonacott started reviewing what the future would open for them. During this time and with years of experience in the Lawn and Garden Industry, they both knew they needed a commercial lawn mower for their customers, and it wasn't long before something from the past in Roberts mind would spark him to pursue and study in more depth a company that he saw at Fort Campbell Kentucky, home of the 101st Airborne.

Bruce Vermeulen pulled up to PST Small Engine Repair in late August with a few Dixie Choppers on his trailer, and it was at this point where Bruce, Roger, and Robert would start to build a relationship, that within the next year would mature into a lasting friendship. Upon the arrival of Dixie Chopper it didn't take long for Roger and Robert to make up their minds what this area needed, and it became their goal to bring on Dixie Chopper and make the mower the Western Lake-shores Choice of Mower, but this would fast become a feat that would propel them into a different spot light within the area.
